Travel Through Your Coffee Cup: The Journey Begins

The World Cup has a way of bringing the world together.

People gather around a game, cheer for countries they've never visited, and spend a few weeks learning about places they might not otherwise think about.

Coffee does something similar.

I've been fortunate enough to travel to more than 30 countries, and one of the first things I do when I arrive somewhere new is find coffee. Not because I'm a coffee snob, but because coffee tells stories.

From how people gather, to how they slow down and how they connect with family and friends.

Over the next few weeks, I'm sharing some of my favorite coffee experiences from around the world.

You'll come with me to Morocco, where I drank coffee in 115-degree heat... To Colombia, where I picked coffee beans on my birthday... To Paris, where I learned coffee is never meant to be rushed, and a few places that surprised me along the way.

This isn't a series about brewing methods or tasting notes, but about people, places and the stories behind the cup. Some of the best travel memories I've ever made started with coffee.

Tomorrow, we're headed to Morocco.

Grab a cup and come along for the ride.
