Coffee Around the World Cup: My First Taste of Korean Coffee Culture
Share
I've never been to South Korea but that changes in August.
For years, I've watched videos of beautiful cafés in Seoul and Busan. The kind of places where every drink looks like a work of art and every corner feels designed for conversation, creativity, and great photos.
So when I visited a Korean bakery here in Atlanta, I got a small glimpse of what makes Korean coffee culture so appealing.
It wasn't just the coffee.. it was good, but the presentation mattered. The atmosphere mattered. The pastries looked almost too pretty to eat. It felt intentional in a way that reminded me that coffee is about more than caffeine.
One of my favorite things about travel is discovering how different cultures approach coffee. Some countries treat it as a quick daily ritual. Others turn it into a social experience. From everything I've seen, South Korea has elevated coffee into an art form.
This stop on my Coffee Around the World Cup journey isn't about a coffee farm or a famous local drink.
It's about anticipation.
In a couple months, I'll be wandering the streets of Seoul and Busan, searching for incredible cafés and unforgettable cups of coffee. And you can be sure I'll be sharing every stop along the way.
Have travel, will coffee.
